This is the continuation of the work from the past number of decades - our journey together. The leadership recognizes that it is key to hear from Citizens and Beneficiaries about how we can work together as a Nation. The importance of the 3 Tlingit Nations to meaningfully engage with our Citizens and beneficiaries, to talk about how we can work together for the betterment of our respective Nations, cannot be overstated. Citizen and Beneficiaries guidance is what is going to move this project forward as we rebuild the Nation.
The Nation Rebuilding project is led by a steering/advisory committee, made up of representatives from the three First Nations – Carcross Tagish First Nation, Taku River Tlingit First Nation and Teslin Tlingit Council, historically connected as Inland Tlingit - the Dakhká Nation. The Nation Rebuilding Program is a federally funded program that works to support activities by First Nations across Canada to rebuild their nations in a manner that responds to their priorities and the unique needs of their communities.
